| Gintoki's home and place of buisness stood in the midst of a busy town, filled with laughing people, drunks, and playing children. As Gin got home with Echo, he unlocked the front door and flipped a sign to "Open". Inside was a living room with two couches facing a table, a desk at the end of the room, and a small TV in the corner. There were a lot of clothes piled in the corner next to a door that lead to Gin's room. Gin motioned Echo to take a seat. "Want anything to drink? I got strawberry milk." | |

| Echo walked with Gin-san, her eyes taking in the small town they were in. She was sad. She had had no idea that parts of her relm were like this. Though things seem tough her most people seemed to be smiling and this brought a smile to her face as well. As they entered the small house he called his own Echo smiled and sat down when offered. "Want anything to drink? I got strawberry milk." She shook her head politely. "I have a question." She said after a moment of examining things. | |

| Gin had gone into his bedroom and emerged within a minute, wearing his regular white kimono, black shirt, and black pants. He went to his desk and propped his feet onto it, leaning back in the chair. His arms folded behind his head and his eyes closed, almost if he was ready to sleep. Gin was glad she had refused to have any strawberry milk, as he didn't feel like lowering his already small supplies. "A question? Sure go ahead..." he said lazily. | |

| As the man got comfortable she smiled softly. "A question? Sure go ahead..." She nodded her head and thought of how to word herself. "How... would you like.... to..." She began and stopped herself, still trying to figure out how she was going to word the rest of her sentence. But before she could finish she was interupted byhim.
{{Sorry if that is powerplay to you XD}}

| Gintoki opened his eyes and looked at her with dull eyes. She was staggering and pausing...Gin hated that. "Come on...hurry up...just hurry and ask me. I'm not going to judge you if you want me to tail a cheating boyfriend or stand in line for you to see some chick flick..." Gin said interrupting her. These were the things that most of his female customers asked him to do. But as he stopped to think, he began to wonder if the job she had in mind would be something more important. She was offering double the payment... | |

Echo's eyes flashed as he interupted her. "If you would have paused long enough to let me finish i was going to ask you to come stay at the palace and work as the permanate handy man." She said flatly, her arms now crossed over her chest and her eyes set in a angered glare.

| Gintoki sighed with relief. He thought maybe she had to take a dump. The town shut off his water so it would've stunk up the small house greatly. But her words were somewhat surprising. Live in a palace? That part made Gin's heart leap with joy. But the Handyman part. Under normal circumstances...it would've been just as it sounded, repairing broken things, etc. But she was the Human Leader now. She most likely didn't recognize him but surely she had hear of the fearsome "White Demon", the human swordsman who had struck fear into the hearts of the invaders but disappeared at the climax of the fighting. Gin sighed. He didn't want to see anymore bloodshed. "Yeah...sorry...I'll do it if your still offering after my rude outburst." | |

| "Yeah...sorry...I'll do it if your still offering after my rude outburst." she burst out laughing. It was just something about his humbelness, or lack of it, that made her want to laugh. "I don't go back on my word. Besides, I can't have my employees going around in rags or unhappy now can I?" She asked softly. She was starting to like this guy, maybe not in a more than friendlier way, but he was pretty nice to hang out with. She smiled brightly and mocked his relaxed position. | |

| Gintoki looked at her as she laughed and smiled. It was good to see that the leader of Humans was so light-hearted. Gin started to laugh with her as he went into his room and pulled out his wooden practice sword. While laughing, Gin began to swing the bokutou with full force at his desk and the walls. He had been waiting forever to tear down the place. As he swung, the furniture and doors broke apart like paper. But then Gin stopped and looked at her with a frightened look. "Uhhh...can I start today? As you can clearly see...I'm homeless." | |

| As he began to beat on his house Echo laughed marrily and watched. Then when he stopped and turned to her she grinned. "Uhhh...can I start today? As you can clearly see...I'm homeless." As small and cruel smile swept across her face. "Only if you agree to let me help with the rest of the house." He face was straight, thogh her eyes told of the joy in her heart. "Oh and by the way. Seeing as we won't have your room ready for a few days you'll be stuck sleeping in my room." | |

| Gin threw her his wooden sword and smiled. "Careful with that though. This sword was blessed by the Sage Hermit of Lake Toya and is said to carry the spirit of the Great Kappa who gaurds it. I ordered it off a TV shopping channel." he said plainly. Whenever it broke, he bought a new one. Gin watched her until she began to talk about sleeping in the same room. "...so you'll be sleeping on the floor?" he said jokingly. | |

| "Careful with that though. This sword was blessed by the Sage Hermit of Lake Toya and is said to carry the spirit of the Great Kappa who gaurds it. I ordered it off a TV shopping channel." she laughed at the last bit. It wasn't such an outrageous story compared to her own. She jab a hole into the wall, and began to spell her name that way. After a moment when he spoke again she stopped and turned to hi slowly. "Oh no." She said in winked quickly and truned back to spelling her name in the wall with holes. | |

| She winked at him. Gin put on a devilish smile and laughed a bit. "Well as long as its okay with you...I like to sleep in the nude. I can't stand when my movement is restricted." he said. She was writing her name in the wall but Gin wanted to destroy the house too. He went under his desk and pulled out a chainsaw. There was a tag that said, "To my lovely Paako" that Gin quickly ripped off before starting the machine. | |

| Gin began to cut the couches in half. She would just have to be careful where she flopped around on? Gin laughed loudly, causing him to lose control of the chainsaw, as it began to whirl around crazily. He screamed and caught hold of it, and hoped she didn't see that. That was two times he had made a fool of himself when he was trying to position himself as a cool "adult". Because thats what adults do...drink strawberry milk while destroying their homes like mad people. | |

| As he lost control of the chainsaw she smiled but didn't comment, figuring that would just embarrass him and ruin her fun. She smiled as she finished her name and looked at the couch he had managed to saw in half. she smiled and sat on it, her forehead covered in sweat from the work of doing her name. she lounged out over the half of the couch and watched him for a moment. | |

| After some work and almost killing himself, Gin managed to find the off switch on the chainsaw. He breathed out heavily and plopped down next to Echo on the other couch half. He reached towards the refridgerator that he had toppled over and pulled out a chocolate parfait. What was left of it anyway. "Want some?" he asked taking a bit. | |

| "Want some?" She shook her head and looked into the fridge and pointed to something. Well actually she was pointing between something and Gin-san. Her finger was close enough to his direction to be called him and far away enough that she could have been pointing to something in the fridge. "Ill take some of that." A wicked smile played across her face once more. | |

| Gin looked down trying to figure out what she wanted. Finally he snapped his fingers, happy to figure out what it was. "You want my weiner?" he said reaching into the fridge pulling out a hot dog. He sniffed it and gagged a bit. "Its no good...would you settle for something else?" | |

She said after a moment and pulled her hair behind her head.

| Gin laughed with her again before getting up and getting a bag from his room. He strung it across his shoulder and pulled out a match. "So everything I had to do here is done...I'm ready anytime you are." he said smiling. This girl...was pretty amazing. He'd have to thank her again sometime...but find a way to sound funny while saying it. | |

| "So everything I had to do here is done...I'm ready anytime you are." She smiled and stood up as he returned. She looked at him then started out the door. It wouldn't be that long of a walk, amybe an hour or so, but lucky her she always had someone spying on her. "Duriko! Get us a ride!" she shouted to the roof tops, and a few seconds later a carrige turned the corner witht he Empires seal on the side. As it stoped and revealed the fancy interior she usered him inside. | |

| Gin looked at it in awe. He had never seen something so amazing. For as long as he had lived, he had always been poor. Something like a carridge was unknown to him. Gin stepped inside and sat down, he had a look like a little kid does when he goes to Disney Land. Gin then closed his eyes and clapped. "Duriko! I am the royal guest here and I request your most expensive bottle of alchohol and a lobster dish!" he said with authority. He didn't think this "Duriko" guy would obey a bum like him thoigh, | |
