INightray is a polymorph, able to change his size and shape at will. His body was a thick dark fluid that he could shape into a wide variety of forms, and harden himself to create weapons. He could form tentacles, flatten himself into a puddle, and regenerate himself, even from some residue. He had super strength and the ability to climb up walls and ceilings. Nightray also possessed telescopic vision.
Nightray's liquid body was subject to dilution in water, and solvents had an adverse effect on his physiology. He would lose the ability to change shape if frozen

Nightray was not always a demon, in fact he use to be a human. But after defying the order of the hierarchy of hunters, he was murdered without trial. He loved them and even envied them, but this was how he was re-payed. His soul is fueled by rage and hatred of those angels and swore to kill them. After a couple hundred years that rage and anger disappeared. Even if he was able to kill them what then? He saw that it was worthless. To him nothing truly matters because in the end, everything has the same destination.

Nighray use to kill at the sight of anything that use to remind him of how the humans are selfish and always want to gain something without consequence, but that soon to pass. The killing would become boredom. If he were to get his revenge, what would be after that? Nightray believed that life was worthless and that a death means nothing.
